About Us

The Albion Centre, in Ilkeston, is a community shopping centre with everything you need for your daily life as well as a few nice surprises.

The Albion Centre offers visitors a great choice of national retailers as well as independent shops. Its compact yet diverse offering covers everything from household essentials and office supplies to birthdays, clothing and entertainment; you can even relax and enjoy a coffee! Located in the heart of Ilkeston, the centre is easy to reach by car and has a secure pay and display car park while also being easy to reach by foot or public transport.

There is council operated, pay and display car park next door to the Albion Centre where the first hour is free. For more information and full tariff please refer to the Council’s website.

What access is available to the centre for disabled customers or families with pushchairs?
All access points are wheelchair and pushchair friendly to the centre as the Albion is all on one level.

Can I hire mobility equipment at Albion Shopping Centre?
You cannot hire mobility equipment from the centre however both Long Eaton and Ilkeston cater for visitors who have mobility difficulties through Shopmobility schemes. You can find more information on the Shopmobility scheme on the website here or via their telephone number 0115 932 4956.

Are there disabled and parent/child spaces available at the centre’s car park?
You can park free of charge at the local council car-park. The car park caters for 198 vehicles and there are 10 disabled spaces. For more information visit the government website here.

What level of help can be offered by staff and security at Albion Shopping Centre for people with specific needs?
The team at Albion Shopping Centre are pleased to be able to offer help and support to any customer who requests it. They offer their own kindness and compassion, with all centre staff having received Customer Service training.

Are there disabled and parent/child facilities available at Albion Shopping Centre?
Unfortunately we do not have public toilet facilities, however, Costa Coffee have customer toilets, including a disabled toilet & baby changing area.
